Choir

For children who want even more singing, Mrs Dowd also runs More Park Choir. It is open to all KS2 children and they meet every Tuesday lunchtime. The choir is hugely popular and often has way more than half of KS2 attending!

The choir sings at a wonderful Community Christmas Concert every year with a local adult choir and then at our own Music Evening every May.

Singing

At More Park we love to sing! We have regular whole school singing assemblies and enjoy singing during masses and class celebrations. Year 6 join the fabulous Young Voices at the O2 every year and perform in our Easter Play and their End of Year Production. At Christmas time KS1 perform a Nativity Play and KS2 present a Christmas Concert, to which family and friends are all invited. Year 6 also thoroughly enjoy Carol singing at the local Nursing home.

Music Evening

 Every May Mrs Dowd runs a Music Evening. This is a fantastic event where children who learn an instrument can play and the choir performs all the songs they have been working on through the year. They perform for the whole school in the afternoon and then for family and friends in the evening…a real highlight of the school year and this year is extra special as it is Music Evening number 20!
